I think Ethan is the one in the middle
I know I’m always banging on about the power of social media, but X Factor judge Dannii Minogue has today proved once again what a powerful marketing tool it is by posting the first picture of her new baby Ethan on the micro-social-networking site rather than flogging the snap to a glossy gossip magazine.
Media savvy Minogue probably realised that the rate at which a Twitter story like this will travel, she’ll do a lot better out of the publicity this way than if she took a cash some and the photos got hidden on the pages of OK or Hello … and for that I salute her.
The picture appeared this morning on Minigoue’s Twitter feed accompanied by the message: “Hey everyone thanks for all your wishes, we are loving baby Ethan and Kris is the best dad in the world. X”
New dad Kris Smith also Tweeted the pic with the message: “Hey guys first look at our beautiful Ethan, he is the most adorable little man, looks like his amazing mum. X”
Ethan was born on Monday at Melbourne’s Royal Women’s hospital and was delivered by caesarean section after complications reportedly prevented the home birth that Minogue had planned.
