Is it true, have Twitter really banned Justin Bieber from trending on the social network because he’s too popular? That’s what his fans think.
Apparently the teenage singing sensation, Mr Bieber has become such a micro-networking phenomenon that Twitter have stopped him from trending in the top ten of the charts in order to let other topics have a chance.
Now, I must stress there is no official confirmation from Twitter officials that such a ban has taken place, but it is true that #justinbieber hasn’t been seen for some time (some claim as far back as April) – but trends including #letbiebertrend and #letbjtrend have regularly made it into the top spot.
Desperate to find a workaround to the problem, fans have come up with all manner of innovative new trending topics to ensure their idol (who has 3.85m followers) is still represented at the top of the Twitter pops.
The latest name to appear however, has even confused Bieber fans a bit – Diustin Biber. Take a look for yourself, it’s trending at number two in the UK at the moment.
Now, although the trend is obviously Justin Bieber related, no one seems to be able to where the name came from.
Twitter is alive with speculation, which in itself is continuing to drive the trending topic up the charts.
Some say Diustin Biber is a brand of vacuum cleaner, others that it is the antidote to malaria and some suggestions even claim the name referrers to a South American gay tribute act … but as ever, the Beehive has done some digging and can exclusively reveal where Diustin comes from …
Apparently, the phrase originates from this video, where a young Brazilian fan of Justin Bieber attempts to pronounce his name and ends up pronouncing something closer to Diustin Biber:
After seeing this video, a Brazilian blogger decided it was so funny, he would make fun of the girl – and the laughter spread across the world … rather cruelly mocking the young fan.
And there you have it, the origins of one of Twitter’s top trends for today, and it’s not a very nice story really …
… so in future, before you retweet, make sure you do your homework, otherwise you might find your cyber-bullying by accident … again.

He is laughing all the way to the bank, but is it worth the lack of privacy he’ll never own anymore??
hola justin viver como nte va mira ya te puse en el facebbok asi q porfa asectame eres mi can tate favorito
Haha, yeah, unfortunally is exactly that you guys digged.
Some guy named Felipe Neto owns a youtube channel and he mocked justin-whatever-bieber and some emocore bands.
So, after watched that video, this crazy girl made a video response, talking about Diustin Biber and another teenage girly emo idols. That sounded so ridiculous that we brazilians are mocking her o/
