It seems to be a long time since Cheryl Cole actually released some music … after all, isn’t that what she’s meant to be famous for, right?
The X Factor judge has been in the news almost everyday since the January release of Parachutes, the third single from her début album Three Words. There was the will-she won’t-she leave Ashley, then the is-she-isn’t-she with Derek, and that’s before she got malaria and threw the X Factor schedulers into a head spin. (She’ll be talking to Piers Morgan about all this soon on ITV – read more here)
Well, at last she’s got a new video, and connoisseurs of Cole’s (or is it Tweedy again now?) work will be pleased that as well as a pop-song with a good hook, there are plenty of costume changes and sexy outfits to be admired.
The song was written by Wayne Wilkins, a British producer who in the past has penned tunes for Pink and Gwen Stefani.
Sophie Muller is responsible for the visuals, an experienced pop-director who has made videos for no less than chart toppers Coldplay.
Promise This, will be the first single from Cheryl Cole’s second album, Messy Little Raindrops, which is due for a November release.
Without further ado, here’s that new music video for your enjoyment:
