OK, so the weather seems to have taken a turn for the worse at the moment, but don’t forget it’s summer.

The new single Gilly has everything you need for a pop-tastic summer; jangling guitars, simple solos, la la la’s, a sing along chorus with repetition and whining backing vocals .. it’s the sort of thing James Morrison & Jack Johnson would have come up with if they’d been locked in a room with nothing but Dodgy records for a few weeks.
Anyway, my sarcastic tone should be ignored, because I get the feeling this will be a hit, and if it’s not, you’ll still enjoy a little piece of summer whatever Mother Nature has thrown up today.
