Blimey, it seems like a long time since we saw Olly Murs battle it out against Joe McElderry in the X Factor final, but at last, for all you fans of the Essex cheeky chappy the waiting is over because Olly’s first solo music video has hit the Internet.
The tune, Please Don’t Let Me Go will be released on August 29th and is sure to be a big hit if Murs’s X Factor support base was anything to go by.
A jumpy little number, it’s well paced middle-of-the-road pop music, inoffensive and perfect stuff to ensure that Olly sells as many records as possible in the incredibly crowded post-talent-show market which sees many a hopeful crash and burn.
Olly has something about him, a touch of Robbie Williams perhaps, as he prances through a party crowd delivering sweet vocals and boyish glances that are sure to have teenage girls and middle aged women swooning at the record stores.
Rumour has it that Simon Cowell might offer Olly his own TV show soon, but he’ll probably wait and see how many people buy this record first,
