I’m still in shock after thinking we might lose one of my favourites, Joy or Charlotte, at the end of the last episode, but this week things get even more exciting as our ‘nearly-top models’ are off to sunny Malaysia to meet a selection of dignitaries and Mr shoe himself, the one and only Jimmy Choo.
There’s five girls left and tensions are running high as the verbal sparring begins:
Alisha tells the cameras, “Malaysia is a place that I’ve never been to before, so I’m ecstatic. But this is business, this is work, this is competition time.” And straight talking Mancunian Joy shares her sentiment, “We are in the final five, I’m not messing about, I’m just gonna do what I do best.”
Even the usually giggly and fun Charlotte isn’t messing about, “There’s four other people in this and me … I’m in this to win this now!” She sternly states, before squealing with excitement.

On their arrival at the Ritz-Carlton in Kuala Lumpur, the excitement of the five star luxury penthouse suite is too much for the girls as they strip off and throw themselves into a rooftop pool which looks suspiciously like an oriental fish pond … don’t worry, no-one spoils their party … not even the fish.
After (not) enjoying some weird Malay food and getting some advice on ambition from Jimmy Choo, the girls take on their first challenge which is some Eastern dance with choreographer, Datin Azanin Dato’ Ahmad (that was a mouthful.)
Charlotte, a trained dancer from about three years old obviously excels in the challenge, but some of the girls struggle somewhat with finding their inner dancer in the beautiful sub-tropical gardens.
Before the big night shoot, which takes place on the roof of a building overlooking the city, the girls find time to have an argument. At the heart of the problem are Alisha and Charlotte who just don’t seem to see eye to eye (on anything much) … Alisha walks away from the table, leaving Charlotte looking rather flustered. Later, there’s further recriminations as the models begin to lay down battle lines ahead of the live final next month.
Not wishing to avoid a free trip, the whole team, Elle, Julian, Charley and Grace fly out to Malyasia to make sure that this helping of Eastern fun (of which there will be more next week) is top notch entertainment, and entertainment it delivers.
Someone has to fly home at the end of this episode and several of the girls less than impress on the big photo shoot for Baby G watches … but whoever wins will get themselves a watch modelling campaign replacing incumbent Pixie Lott … I wonder what Pixie thinks about all this.
With the Charlotte’s fat debate over and Joy’s attitude starting to become a bit more positive, it looks like any one of the five remaining girls could get the chop at this week’s elimination.
After much debate, the axe falls … but on who?
You’ll have to tune in on Monday September 13th at 9pm on Living TV to find out
