Prophylactic manufacturer Durex is trending well this afternoon after an advert for the contraceptive was apparently mistakenly screened during the daytime shock-talk show Jeremy Kyle today.
Mushed_onions said, “Really? A Durex ad at this time of day? Gotta admit it was funny though
”, heyimsally said, “so Durex is trending i saw the advert i think its wrong but then again you don’t wanna see the ones that are on late at night!!!” and lookitsbexi added, “Why the hell is Durex trending? I’m concerned…” … it’s OK Bexi, they’re electronically tested.
Aaronlinstead however could not help himself, throwing jokes across the Twittersphere left right and centre, including, “Durex is in the TT’s… well at least Twitter is using protection as well.” And following up with, “Imagine if Durex made Internet Security, it would make perfect sense!” … not quite as good.
Elsewhere, Potterish has got Harry Potter fans in a frenzy by tweeting “Today is September 1st. Run to Platform 9¾, King’s Cross, to take the Hogwarts Express just in time” a feeling compounded by Hogwartsradio who said, “The Hogwarts Express leaves in under 12 hours!! Even though I won’t be on it, I’m still really excited!”
Sad news for Triciaruiiiz who shares her woe with the world, stating, “
I think I missed the Hogwarts Express.” Never mind, maybe next year dear.
The vuvuzela is back in the Twitter charts after SkyNewsBreak tweeted “UEFA bans vuvuzela horns from all stadiums during Champions League, Europa League and Euro 2012 qualifiers” but Jan_dembowski doesn’t care because “I’m headed to the tennis U.S. Open. Me and my vuvuzela are all ready to go!”
Finally, the A380 Airbus is doing well in the charts today after the largest commercial airliner (I think it was an Emirates plane) landed at Manchester Airport this morning.
Orchardhosting said, “Photo we took of the #A380 landing today at @manairport. It’s big.” Here’s that photo …
Ali_Yousef joked, “Off to see the Emirates Airbus #A380 at Manchester Airport. Yup, arab goin plane spotting!” and tidesorswells gets regionalist, stating, “Airbus A380 – MADE PARTIALLY IN BRISTOL, HELL YES.”
Right, that’s it for today, see you tomorrow ….
