That Samsung tablet thingie ...

Eminent physicist Stephen Hawking is topping the Twitter charts today after his latest book concludes, well, I’ll let Drbunja, fill you in, “Stephen Hawking says God wasn’t necessary for the creation of the universe.”

As one might expect, this bold statement has become a matter of intense debate in the Twittersphere as micro-bloggers try to get their heads around his reasoning.

Antobastos said, “”We, human beings are mere collections of fundamental particles of nature.” Stephen Hawking” but ChasingAmity goes a step further, tweeting, “So Stephen Hawking said Universe is not created by God. I say God doesent exist. There…Period!” a view shared by seanx3 who said, “Nice to see Stephen Hawking has finally caught up with me.”

Sazzadee rather cruelly picks on the physicists physical illness, tweeting, “Perhaps Stephen Hawking is just annoyed because the stairway to heaven has no ramp access.”

praatiwi takes a theistic approach saying “sorry Mr, i know u’re a great scientist, but i dont believe it”, but JackDawsonUK adds, “I’m inclined to agree with Stephen Hawking. The only person capable of creating the universe is Chuck Norris.”

God isn’t the only thing bothering Tweeters this afternoon, the release of the new 7inch Samsung Galaxy Tab Android tablet has got people excited too.

NuclearC just states the facts, “Samsung‘s Galaxy Tab Runs Froyo, Has Flash and Measures 7-Inches”

Vranac, however, echoes the concerns of many Tweeters about the price of the products, stating, “”Samsung Galaxy Tab will retail for around 749 to 799 Euro.” – for that kind o moola i’m going for ipad, larger screen ftw”

Alanhornedotcom concludes, “

iPad killer? – I don’t think so, but it’s a good alternative. Just wish the screen was larger.”

Foreign Secretary William Hague is in the Twitter top ten today after questions have been asked about his private life and relationship with Christopher Myers.

Johanharri101 says, “There’s a hundred good reasons to criticize William Hague. His personal life isn’t one of them. Lay off. We don’t want Guido Fawkes politics”.

However, most Tweeters don’t seem to be taking this very seriously …

Fintan_mc said, “I saw William Hague the other day wearing a tight-fitting Dolce & Gabbana t-shirt – I say he’s guilty as charged lol”, chrisslowe adds, “William Hague should’ve simply said ‘No you are’ to the press” and Mattleys rather wittily concludes by saying, “Why is William Hague still having to deny he’s The Stig? Ridiculous.”

Well, that’s it for today, see you tomorrow …
