If the tabloids are to believed, two of the X Factor’s most talked about contestants in this year’s live finals are at each other’s throats… 24-year-old Katie Waissel and 17-year-old Cher Lloyd.
Now, those looking to sell newspapers are claiming that the two highest profile members of Cheryl Cole’s girls category (depicted left together after live show 1) are constantly bickering – and apparently it’s staring to get on the nerves of other housemates who just want to sing … and eat, and rest and sleep.
According to ‘a source’ quoted in Heat Magazine, Cher is deliberately detaching herself from her fellow competitors because she wants to concentrate on one thing, and one thing alone … winning.
Now other ‘sources’ (who should be believed at all costs) are saying that Katie Waissel is getting peeved with Cher … because, you guessed it, she wants the attention … as all she wants to do is win … blimey, what a quandary.
At such a rate has the drama rapidly escalated, that even Katie Waissel’s mum has come out of the woodwork to defend her much criticised daughter, telling Heat, ‘Katie’s not confrontational. She’s very diplomatic – if she was in a situation, she would walk away. She’s all about karma. She doesn’t like bad karma.’
So, is instant karma gonna get her?
Now the Beehive (who have eyes everywhere) didn’t see any animosity between the pair when they were at rehearsals at Fountain Studios in Wembley on Friday … and although we didn’t see them hanging out thick as thieves (like Matt Cardle and Aiden Grimshaw) … there didn’t appear to be any tension either as they exchanged pleasantries in the corridor.
So could this feud possibly be overplayed?
The hive is sure that just like the Cher Lloyd eating disorder (we saw her eating loads) and the Katie Waissel bad attitude (she seems lovely) … that this is just another tabloid construction to keep X Factor junkies (of which there are an almost infinite number) happy for a few more minutes.
