Crossing the pond?
Simon Cowell has kept everyone guessing as to who will make up the panel of judges for the inaugural season of X Factor USA when he takes his hit talent show format across the pond next year.
Cheryl Cole was an early favourite to get the gig amidst rumours that Cowell was keen to help the 27-year-old launch a career Stateside. However, in recent times many commentators have speculated that Cherl might not be on Simon’s team after reports that Fox television weren’t keen on her and would rather go for established (and probably North American) stars.
Enter Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey and Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger into the mix … all of them have been closely connected with a move to the show, but Cowell refuses to be drawn on the subject.
Well, not completely, he did offer a dangling carrot during an interview with Extra after collecting his International Emmy at the beginning of the week. After being who would be on the show, he finally cracked and said, ‘OK, one of the judges has quite long hair.’
Great, so that means that, oh, we still don’t know.
Both Cheryl and Nicole have ‘quite long hair’ … and so does Mariah Carey for that matter.
Great, so back to the drawing board.

Nicole definitely is a much better judge. She was much more fun and offers more. She’s even up for dancing and joining in on the fun during auditions. Plus, she can sing! She sings live on guest performances, unlike Justin Bieber and Kylie Minogue, and even Cheryl Cole, who were all miming!
