1.6m watch Mary Bale ‘Revenge of the Cat’ wheelie bin video

When Coventry resident Mary Bale threw Lola the cat into a wheelie-bin last week the Internet people went crazy with rage, culminating in tens of thousands of members in anti-Bale Facebook groups and even death threats for the 45-year-old bank worker.

Jumping on the pro-feline bandwagon, DJs Andy Goulding and John Dalziel from Coventry’s Mercia Radio decided to make a video in response to Ms. Bale’s act of animal cruelty.

Less than a week later, the short film which depicts a giant cat throwing a woman into a wheelie-bin has become one of the biggest YouTube hits of the summer, attracting an astounding 1.6m views since August 25th and rising fast.

It might not have done much to help poor Lola the cat after her ordeal in the wheelie-bin (but she has been on The One show), however it does seem to have pleased the millions of angry humans who obviously subscribe to the view that two wrongs make a right.
